We absolutely loved staying at Sky Harbour. Craig was a great host, there to take care of all our needs. The villa itself is charming with a fireplace, outdoor spaces and grill, fabulous big bedroom. We were there a week and would love to have stayed longer. The views were spectacular, all the way to the ocean. A rural setting but only a few minutes drive from town While we were there the snow came down to cap the mountains behind. Th grand fireplace kept us warm, and there is. lovely hike to do starting right next to the property. I would give the place and the host 10 stars.
First of all, Craig is a wonderful and friendly host. He checked inn with us regularly to be sure everything was going ok (gas for fireplace, extra linens, etc.) The house is just so charming and roomy. The giant bed and bedroom with its own balconies, just spectacular A lovely custom bathroom, fluffy towels and nice amenities Plenty of custom decor features, wrought iron work, beautiful staircase, counter tops, beams, etc Outside spaces lovely and excellent grill Very private Lovely views and landscaping Sometimes cows inn the front pasture Everything as expected or better
We had no negative experiences.

Our stay at Sky Harbour was truly fantastic! The house was beautiful and clean, with all the amenities we needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and we woke up feeling refreshed every morning. The views from the balcony were lovely, overlooking Kaikoura and the ocean. The BBQ area was a great place to relax. The location was peaceful and private, offering a perfect weekend escape. The walk into the nearby forest was breathtaking, immersing us in the pristine environment. Craig, the host, was a fabulous and attentive host, ensuring our stay was enjoyable without intruding on our privacy.
The only thing that could have made the breakfast even better would be the addition of a dishwasher, as we can be a bit lazy when it comes to cleaning up. However, this minor inconvenience was easily remedied, and it didn't overshadow the amazing view and overall experience at Sky Harbour.

We stayed at a beautiful cottage nestled in the hills with stunning views of the surrounding area. The cottage was spacious and had a cozy fireplace, perfect for chilly nights. The bedroom was comfortable and had plenty of space for our luggage. The owner was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The location, although a bit far from town, had its charm with mountain ranges behind and a commanding view of the ocean. The cottage had all the necessary facilities for cooking.
The road leading to the cottage was a bit rough and lacked proper lighting, making it difficult to navigate at night.

We recently stayed at a charming cottage near the mountains, and it was the most incredible experience. The house was beautifully decorated with rustic touches, and the large open-plan layout made it feel spacious and cozy. The gas fireplace added a special touch of warmth, and the upstairs bedroom was surprisingly spacious. The kitchen was well-equipped, and we loved the BBQ area with its stunning views of the ocean. The host was friendly and attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable. We will definitely be back!
The road to the cottage could use some improvement, especially in terms of lighting and paving.

Our stay at this beautiful house was truly relaxing. The location was perfect, offering breathtaking views of the valley and the bay. The two balconies allowed us to enjoy both stunning sunsets and stargazing at night. The comfortable four-poster bed ensured a fantastic night's sleep. The breakfast basket provided a delicious assortment of organic eggs, muffins, fruits, and more.
